A co-ed IB World School (JK-Grades 12) based on the principles of the Roman Catholic Church, Académie Ste Cécile International School (ASCIS) provides a challenging and comprehensive education encouraging our diverse student body to be responsible, productive and ethical citizens while emphasizing the skills to think creatively, reason critically, communicate effectively and respect all cultures and ethnicities. ASCIS also prepares students for the OSSD and Advanced Placement (AP) examinations.
Established in 1993, Académie Ste-Cécile International School offers both the IB and the OSSD through the lens of Catholic values and traditions. It’s been an accredited IB school since 1996, so is an early adopter, and has a long experience with the programme. The campus is a draw—the chapel being something of a highlight—with world-class athletics facilities as part of the package. Many of the facilities are relatively new, including extensions to the elementary and athletics areas. The boarding program adds cultural and linguistic diversity to the student population and, for day students, is a unique and very personal window onto the world. Music is a focus—Saint Cecilia is the patron saint of music, and when first begun the school was dedicated to music—as is athletics, with 70% of the student population participating on one or more teams. Arts are well represented, with ample options for group or individual instruction. Small classes contribute to a sense of belonging, with students truly known throughout the school and across the grades.
