Blyth Academy is a flourishing private high school conveniently located in downtown London on the banks of the Thames. Blyth Academy London combines the rigorous curriculum expected of a top private school with the caring and empathetic staff of their day school and boarding program. With easy access to walking and cycling trails, open green spaces, and a boarding facility close to campus, Blyth Academy London is a welcome addition to this vibrant city.
Whereas some schools are just that, schools, Blyth represents a range of programs at a range of locations. It was founded by Sam Blyth in 1977, and quickly established itself as a leader in global education with the creation of a Canadian high school in France, as well as an accredited program at Oxford University. Those global education programs provided a unique addition to the Canadian educational landscape.
With the creation of the first brick-and-mortar school here at home in 2002, Blyth applied the same concept to domestic education. In the intervening decades, the program has grown exponentially, now including 11 campuses which, together, represent the largest single private school student population in Canada. Still, the program continued to grow, today including a campus in Washington DC. A majority host summer programs, night and weekend classes, intended to provide challenge or support for students of the school, or those interested only in specific courses. And on it goes … there are further international programs, year-long study abroad program under the Blyth Global High School banner, as well as online/distance course offerings. There are even March break courses, both here and abroad.
Again, it's a lot, with a range of programs to support a wide range of students and academic goals. Again, for anyone who thinks of school in a traditional way—a building with classes—Blyth can be a lot to get your head around. Given the historical strength of the programs, however, it's very much worth the effort.

Below, find stories and testimonials about Blyth Academy London.
We are thrilled with our experience at Blyth Academy London. The classes are small and the teachers inspired our son to learn and to work hard. It was obvious to us as parents that the teachers took the time to get to know our son and to bring out his potential in a way that had not been done before.
The leadership is excellent and responsive and we especially appreciated the patient and thorough guidance.
...We picked Blyth Academy because we did not want our child to be just a number like in the public school system. The staff is always approachable, emergencies are dealt with immediately and problems are discussed and solved quickly for the benefit of the student, not for the convenience of the teacher. Ideal for children with a unique learning approach, the small classes make it possible to get individual attention whenever necessary. Blyth has made all the difference for our son, who finally finds school interesting!
...Our daughter, Roxanne, very recently graduated from Blyth Academy London as an Ontario scholar and is now enrolled in the medical sciences program at Western University. My spouse and I wish to formally express our sincerest thanks and gratitude for how much Blyth has done for her over the past three years (Grades 10 through 12). In Grade 9 at a local high school, she was struggling, felt lost and confused and was performing academically in at best a mediocre fashion. At Blyth she developed great self-confidence, a desire to learn, excellent study habits and good interpersonal skills, with the result that her Grade 12 performance earned her a place in a demanding and select university program, not to mention acceptances at several other universities. We couldn’t be more pleased and wish to thank Blyth academy in general and Ms. Flynn-Clark and all the great staff at Blyth London in particular. Roxanne also spent a semester in Europe in the Global program in Grade 11 and this also had an immensely positive impact.
Please forward our gratitude to all the very fine teachers and staff at London, as well as the Global High School staff and the many people at the central office who dealt with us in such a fine fashion over the years.
...Blyth Academy is a wonderful place to work. The teachers are very supportive of one another and work well together in creating cross-curricular and extra-curricular activities for our students. The administration supports the teachers and allows us to teach in a way that is most beneficial to our students. Having 12 or fewer students in your classroom means you get to know how your students learn and can help them be successful. The entire campus has a warm and welcoming atmosphere that people notice right away. We are a close-knit community – and it is because of this that teachers and students are happy and successful. It is a wonderful community that benefits both teachers and students alike.
...“Part of our decision to join the London Knights organization was the opportunity for our son to attend Blyth Academy. The small class sizes enabled the Blyth staff to understand our son’s learning style, implement his educational accommodations and take a more hands on approach in order to work with him for academic success. The Blyth staff is well trained and really cares about its students. They made our son enjoy school once again.
Blyth staff is qualified and understood how to teach and implement the various accommodations for visual learners (Dyslexia). Staff is also patient cares about each individual student. I feel they made him feel important again in the classroom therefore he gained educational success."
